Average weight loss with the Gastric sleeve is 65% of someone’s EXCESS body weight at 2 years. Average weight loss with anti-Obesity medication is anywhere from 5-15% of someone’s TOTAL body weight at 1 year.
 

• Oral anti-obesity medications have an average weight loss of about 5-10% of TOTAL body weight at 1 year

• Her average weight at 1 year would be 201 lbs.

Jan is a 45 y.o. Female with a BMI of 42. Her weight is 237 lbs at 5’3”. She has elected Phentermine.

• Average weight loss at 1 year based on a 10% loss of TOTAL body weight would be 23lbs.
• Her average weight at 1 year would be 214 lbs.
