I started my journey way before the surgery. In 2010 I lost 90 pounds on my own just to gain it back. I tried and tried to lose it again, but failed at it several times. One day my doctor told me that my sugar levels were raising and if they kept going, I would have to start insulin. That is the day I decided to have surgery. At my year anniversary I have lost 83 pounds.
